Gilbert & Sullivan arrangements for reduced band

These arrangements for reduced orchestration were written for use by the Bristol Savoy Operatic Society, and are designed to create a full and varied texture using few players, for production companies with limited space or resources.  All parts contain clear cues and the new orchestrations make good use of the smaller number of players.

Prices shown are for hire of parts for one week of non-professional performances in a single venue.
Professional rates by agreement.  

This price includes four weeks of rehearsal prior to the week of the show.
Extra weeks of rehearsal time by arrangement.

UK payment (in advance) can be by cheque or Paypal.  Worldwide payment (in advance) by Paypal.  
The deposit is refundable (minus any Paypal transfer/exchange fees) on the safe receipt of the parts back to me in the UK.
The charge made for Postage & Packing worldwide is not usually more than £20.  

For theatre companies outside the UK, new parts can be printed (often in the country of the theatre company) and posted directly to you, arriving c.2-3 weeks after receipt of the payment.  A sample part (flute) can be ordered at £3.10 plus P&P (or downloaded free) from here.
Other samples can be requested directly by email.

Parts are supplied on hire and remain the property of John Pitts - they are supplied to the hirer solely for the performances listed on the Hire Agreement.
Parts are to be returned in good condition within two weeks of the last performance date.

The use of the arrangement must be credited in the show programme with the words "The arrangement for small band used in this production was by John Pitts - www.johnpitts.co.uk - first used by Bristol Savoy Operatic Society.  Available arrangements: Pirates of Penzance, Iolanthe and Gondoliers", and a copy of the programme should be included with the return of the parts.

Any non-commercial video or audio recording of the show is permitted at no extra cost, under the following conditions: the credit above is printed on the sleeve, and a copy of the CD/DVD/video is included with the return of the parts.  "Non-commercial" means not sold outside friends and family of those involved in the production.

IOLANTHE - 8 players (plus optional ninth - trumpet)   email to hire
New arrangement of Iolanthe for flute/piccolo, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, optional trumpet, violin, bassoon, keyboard and drums.  
The optional trumpet can be played on stage in the Peers chorus and in the orchestral pit for the rest of the show.  
This arrangement currently does not include the Overture, although I am aiming to do this in the future.
